Whitening teeth with Braces?

I have braces. My teeth are sort of turning yellow for no reason. I brush my teeth 4 times a day. I just dont want my teeth to have cavities or stains underneath. Is there any way i can make sure i dont have stains under my braces, and is there any way i can whiten my teeth with my braces on?

Wow i feel really bad for you bud really, don%26#039;t use anything cuz when you have your braces taken off, if you ha ve used any whitening products, there will be like different colors for where your braces were covering your teeth. That%26#039;s just messed up. Just wait a while for your braces to be removed, then go whitening! Best wishes
Reply:i have the same problem. this is the second time ive had braces too, so it makes me really upset. my teeth will be double yellowed. if you are brushing your teeth 4 times a day, i doubt you will have any cavities, but they turn yellow from particles trapped in the braces that dont come off with brushing. dont whiten your teeth with the braces on, because that will look weird when you get them off. try flossing and just stick it out until you get the braces off.they scrape off the outer layer of your teeth when you get the braces off, which sometimes makes them a little whiter. also, right when you get them off, ust crest whitestrips, whitening toothpaste, whitening everything. i am going to do the same. good luck.
Reply:yeah i use to have braces and my teeth were yellowish. but after i got em off they werent yellow. so i dont think u really need to worry about it.


but if u want whiter teeth. chew gum. :] it helps but chew the sugar free kind. really. i use to have such yellow teeth with braces and now theyre white. and i chew gum daily(school days) just to kill class time.
