Teeth braces... help!?

I%26#039;ve just put on teeth braces and I cried a lot about it because I think I look like an idiot with them! Has anyone been in a similar situation? Please, help me because I am afraid of going between people...

The only reason you think you look like an idiot is because you aren%26#039;t used to seeing yourself like that. I%26#039;ve had two sets of braces, and I know what you are going through. All my friends have braces as well. When one of them got braces I thought they looked like idiots...but after a few weeks...it seemed like they grew into them. It%26#039;s like when people get glasses. After a few months of having them, when they take them off, they look like idiots as well.





Trust me, what you are going through is normal. And you probably don%26#039;t look like an idiot. Although I don%26#039;t know you, you are probably perfect just the way you are.
Reply:dont worry about it, you get used to them. nobody will think any differently of you than they do without braces.

Reply:When I first got braces I thought I looked really geeky too. But you seem to adapt to it, and people you know. Just keep in mind, when you get them off you%26#039;re teeth will be really nice. I%26#039;ve had braces on for a little over a year, and I get them off in about 6 months. =/ Hope you feel better soon. :]
Reply:Nowadays no one really notices if you have braces or not. At first, they%26#039;ll ask you to smile so they can see them,and the worst thing that can happen is they might crack a few harmless jokes, but after the first day they get over it. But if you%26#039;re still in grade school or high school, chances are alot of your friends have them on still.





And if someone who has crooked teeth with no braces tries to make fun of you, just say you%26#039;d rather have braces than look like them. =)





Be comfortable, and confident because the results are worth it!

Reply:Don%26#039;t be so self-conscious. if you%26#039;ve invested the money and time to get them on, let it do its job and create a better, healthier smile. it will all be worth it in the end. as long as you maintain good oral health care, then you%26#039;ll have a beautiful and clean smile. there are so many people that have braces, that i%26#039;m sure you%26#039;re just being insecure for superficial reasons. i%26#039;m an orthodontic assistant and put them on people all the time, and i think it looks really great on them. i don%26#039;t know you, but i%26#039;m sure your braces look great. they always do...

Reply:I know exactly how you feel i just got home from getting braces FOR THE SECOND TIME and now like last time i have to have them on for three years (so until junoir year) lucky me two days before my birthday and I look horrible I%26#039;m going to die of embarresment uuuuuughhh well good luck to both of us!
