Okay, so I%26#039;ve had braces on my four front teeth for a year. I got 16 more on the rest of my teeth two days ago, and most of my teeth have shifted. However, 3 teeth on the bottom (In the front) were pushed back. 2 of them came up and aligned with the others, but the 3rd one is being pushed back! Not too significantly, just about 2 mm or so, and I don%26#039;t understand why. There is enough room to come up, but it wont budge! Can this be fixed? Please help! I%26#039;m very upset!

Braces on teeth eaten by cavities?
i have 2-3 teeth eaten by cavities very less part of teeth are remaining, and on this thursday i will be visiting the dentist for my braces, what will he do to cover that teeth%26#039;s spaces?...

usually i think they have to fix cavities before they will put braces on your teeth - at least that%26#039;s what happened with me - i had to get a filling done before they would do my braces.

Can you get braces on teeth that are cracked?
I%26#039;m 24 yrs old with an open bite and I need braces to correct it. I fell recently and cracked several of my teeth and now I%26#039;m not sure if I can get braces on the teeth that are cracked or if I will have to get crowns put on them to strengthen them for the braces. Please help!!!

Yes you are going to have to get your cracked teeth fixed before you get braces, since your teeth are cracked they are extremely vulnerable to decay, putting braces on these cracked teeth will even heighten those chances of decay.
Plus if your teeth are cracked then the brackets will only move part of the your tooth.... better yet ... Ill save me explaining.. please just get the crowns first!!
Your orthodontist would be able to tell you whether or not, and why you would need to get the crowns before getting braces!

Braces: My teeth 'pop.' Is that normal?
I got braces a few weeks ago, now a few of my teeth %26#039;pop.%26#039;
I can press on them with my tongue and then they either pop back like they moved, or I suck in with lips closed and it pops in.
Is this just the gums loosening to allow the tooth movement? Or should I see my orothodontist about this?

Braces and teeth pulling?
I just went to the dentist yesterday and she said that I will have to get two teeth pulled (still baby, i%26#039;m bad at getting teeth out) and after that, i%26#039;ll have to get braces. I have so many questions. If you could answer any, that would be great.
What do the do when the pull the teeth? Will it hurt? How do i get the teeth out before then?
What do getting the braces feel like when getting the on/ having them for a while? Do they hurt?

Well it depends if the teeth are loose, since they are baby teeth, then they will just pull the tooth right out, and if they are not they they will probably do local anesthetic to numb the area and pull them out. It won%26#039;t hurt too badly because they are still baby teeth but you might be a little swollen or sore.
Get braces is not that bad, the first week or so your teeth will be sore and you will feel that you cannot chew anything so you might not be able to eat a lot of chewy or solid foods (but this doesn%26#039;t happen to everyone so you might be lucky) also since there is something new and metalic in your mouth, you might get cuts on your cheeks that may happen while you are sleeping (but tthat didn%26#039;t really happen to me), but they give you this wax stuff that you put over the places that are cutting you so it doesnt rub against the inside of your mouth. But dont worry you will eventually get used to them, and it is all worth it in the end.

To your second line of questions I would have to say that they are painful for the first few days but the pain is not sharp like a toothache but rather dull.

Whitening teeth with Braces?
I have braces. My teeth are sort of turning yellow for no reason. I brush my teeth 4 times a day. I just dont want my teeth to have cavities or stains underneath. Is there any way i can make sure i dont have stains under my braces, and is there any way i can whiten my teeth with my braces on?

Reply:i have the same problem. this is the second time ive had braces too, so it makes me really upset. my teeth will be double yellowed. if you are brushing your teeth 4 times a day, i doubt you will have any cavities, but they turn yellow from particles trapped in the braces that dont come off with brushing. dont whiten your teeth with the braces on, because that will look weird when you get them off. try flossing and just stick it out until you get the braces off.they scrape off the outer layer of your teeth when you get the braces off, which sometimes makes them a little whiter. also, right when you get them off, ust crest whitestrips, whitening toothpaste, whitening everything. i am going to do the same. good luck.

but if u want whiter teeth. chew gum. :] it helps but chew the sugar free kind. really. i use to have such yellow teeth with braces and now theyre white. and i chew gum daily(school days) just to kill class time.

Braces moving teeth?
teeth moving when i got braces when i closed teeth top and bottom lined up , now my top teeth is a quarter inch in front of bottom and have a gap teeth on top going back to dentist tuesday any chance braces comming off soon or will add more to them just nerve dont know what to do

im guessing your orthodontist has a plan for your teeth so just ask him when you will get them off, because if your teeth moved that much off course then you probably wont get them off in teh next two days
